If you know me, you would probably know that I'm an introvert and socializing events typically stress me out. Now that I'm a business owner, I knew that I would need to network more - I tell you I did not love the idea 😂. Eventually I did "force" myself to go though, and to my surprise, I really enjoyed it.
The thing is, I realized that what had stressed me out before was small talks without really connecting. But what I experienced in interacting with many other women entrepreneurs was sincerity, compassion, and support. Sharing stories with these ladies gave me more courage and more ideas. Whether we realize it or not, we share so many common challenges in life, and all of us have done hard work developing invaluable hacks overcoming them. What I want Sonderlier to be is a place where we as women can supporting each other.
That's where I had the idea of "Real Women, Real Advice". I hope by creating this little forum (you can join in the conversation on our social here), our collective wisdom will help each of our individual journeys to be less intimidating.
Last week, we kicked off this series by asking women to share their de-stress tips, especially at the end of a stressful work week. And we had a great discussion! Many have graciously shared their personal tips and I'm so excited to share them with you here. I hope you will find them helpful too:
"Get out in nature. Also proven to heal the mind and soul! Favorite places are the beach or a trail with lots of trees. 🙂" - Kyong
"Chat with a close friend over a bottle of wine. 🍷😊" - Ilkin
"These days it is either drawing (ink), reading, or skyping with old friends. 😊" - Kloé
